Abstract

Populus leaf-miner Lithocolletis populifoliella Tr. (Lep.: Gracillariidae) is one of the important pest of Populus plantations in Urmia city in Azarbaijan-e Gharbi province (Northwest of Iran). Recent field observations were indicated that activity of this pest has been considerable on different Populus clones. In this survey we covered some infected branches of Populus nigra L. near to Urmia Airport. The flight peak of populus leaf-miner was recorded on the first of June, in 2007. Also, some of infected leaves were collected on the middle of May to obtain its natural enemies. The emerged parasitoids were put in the alcohol and were identified by second author (Dr. H. Lotfalizadeh).
